Counseling is a voluntary and collaborative process. Sometimes you will have specific concerns that you want to be intentional about diving deeper into, other times you might have a pressing stressor that you need to use the space to process, and other times therapy might look like learning to sit in your emotions and be still amidst them. It will require that you are actively involved and willing to set specific goals while working toward them in your own time. As the counselor, my role is to communicate honestly with you, listen to you, accept you unconditionally, and provide you with my professional expertise as we work together.
